When I was in Bible College, this passage in Numbers 15 was used as an example of how God was different in the Old Testament than He is now under grace in the New Testament. The question I would ask is: “Is this true? do we have a different YHWH in the Old Testament vs New? And does the designation of “Old Testament” and “New Testament” even originate from the scriptures or is it a man-made separation originating from the later part of the 2nd century?
